Laugher is the best medicine!

My friend and I went out to Tropical Hut to eat our lunch (and its very late, 2:00 pm lunch?). I ordered fried chicken as usual and my friend ordered chicken and lumpia. Walang sauce yung lumpia so we asked for one. Sabi nung cashier "Sorry po Ma'am para lang po yung sa four piece na lumpia namin yung sauce". Huh? Anu yung logic? Same through with fastfood resturant na ayaw mamigay ng re-fill for gravy kasi hindi 'meal' yung binili. Ang tanong ng bayan, "pag bumili ka ba ng spaghetti sa mga fastfood resto at hnd ito meal, wala din ba itong sauce?".

After that we went to National Bookstore to buy some stuff but first, nagpa photocopy muna ako. As I was standing there this mother caught my attention (the hippie once, mother's who pretend their still single, duh!). She was wearing this really big shades (like, where's the sun? mukhang uulan pa!). Napaka sosyal ng lola mo, as in! Tapos it was her turn, sabi nya dun sa inchange "Papa xerox ako." Yaiks! Xerox, it's like saying punta ako tindahan bili ng colgate, yung close-up!. BWUAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!! Can't get enough of this stupidity!

What Makes A Person Cheat?

When it comes to a person's contentment there's always room for more. It's part of being human, to always want more. You just have to know how to deal with it. And don't use that,
"I'am only human" excuse to cheat because nothing can be lamer than that!

A line from my favorite song "Lips of An Angel" by Hinder:
"Honey why you calling me so late?
It's kinda hard to talk right now.
Honey why are you crying? Is everything okay?
I gotta whisper 'cause I can't be too loud".

"Well, my girl's in the next room
Sometimes I wish she was you
I guess we never really moved on
It's really good to hear your voice saying my name
It sounds so sweet
Coming from the lips of an angel
Hearing those words makes me weak"

"And I never want to say goodbye
But girl you make it hard to be faithful
With the lips of an angel"...

What's Your Favorite TV Series?

1. Desperate Housewives
On a sunny day, in the heart of America, the loveliest of suburbs, housewife Mary Alice Young (Brenda Strong) kills herself. Now she takes us into the lives of her friends, family and neighbors... Her circle of girlfriends on Wisteria Lane includes Bree Hodge (Marcia Cross), Martha Stewart on steroids, who battles the demons of alcoholism and vengeful children...and now a new husband with a mysterious past to go with it all; Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman), who struggles with balancing the complications of work and family issues; Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher), the divorcee and single mom who will go to extraordinary lengths for love; Gabrielle Solis, the divorced ex-model with a big house...and doesn't know what to do now; and serial divorcee Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan), the free spirited real estate maven whose love life has everyone buzzing.
Then there are the men: Mike Delfino (James Denton), a plumber who is the on-again/off- again love of Susan's life; Lynette's adorable husband, Tom (Doug Savant), who, it's turning out, has his own share of secrets, Gabrielle's estranged husband, Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), Mary Alice’s widowed husband, Paul (Mark Moses), who is in prison for the murder of a neighbor. Joining the group are Bree's new husband, Orson Hodge (Kyle MacLachlan) who ran Mike over and put him in a coma and Austin Britt (Josh Henderson), Edie's barely legal nephew, who shares his aunt's knack for stirring up trouble.
From her unique vantage point, Mary Alice sees more now than she ever did alive, and she’s planning to share all the delicious secrets that hide behind every neighbor’s closed door in this seemingly perfect American suburb.
“Desperate Housewives” stars Marcia Cross as Bree Van De Kamp, Felicity Huffman as Lynette Scavo, Teri Hatcher as Susan Mayer, Eva Longoria as Gabrielle Solis, Nicollette Sheridan as Edie Britt, Brenda Strong as Mary Alice Young, Ricardo Antonio Chavira as Carlos Solis, James Denton as Mike Delfino, Doug Savant as Tom Scavo, Mark Moses as Paul Young, Steven Culp as Rex Van De Kamp in season 1, Richard Burgi as Karl Mayer in season 2, Roger Bart as George Williams in season 2, Alfre Woodard as Betty Applewhite in season 2, Andrea Bowen as Julie Mayer, Cody Kasch as Zach Young, Kyle MacLachlan as Orson Hodge, Shawn Pyfrom as Andrew Van De Kamp, Joy Lauren as Danielle Van De Kamp, Jesse Metcalfe as John Rowland in season 1, Mehcad Brooks as Matthew Applewhite in season 2 and Josh Henderson as Austin Britt in season 3.
2. House

Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) is devoid of bedside manner and wouldn't even talk to his patients if he could get away with it. Dealing with his own constant physical pain, he uses a cane that seems to punctuate his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor. While his behavior can border on antisocial, House is a maverick physician whose unconventional thinking and flawless instincts have afforded him a great deal of respect. An infectious disease specialist, he's a brilliant diagnostician who loves the challenges of the medical puzzles he must solve in order to save lives.
3. CSI
CSI is an innovative, new type of crime drama because the characters use cutting-edge forensic tools to examine the evidence to solve the case. Rather than a 'whodunnit' cop show (investigating witnesses/suspects), CSI explores the 'howdunnit'. CSI has been the number one scripted series in the Neilsen ratings for four years running. CSI is now in its 7th amazing season.
4. The Simpson
5. 7th Heaven
Reverend Eric Camden (Stephen Collins) and his wife Annie (Catherine Hicks) have always had their hands full caring for seven children, not to mention the friends, sweethearts and spouses that continually come and go in the Camden household. This year, Eric and Annie will find themselves with much less to handle as most of their family is out of the house and in pursuing their own dreams.Matt and Sarah are away in New York; finally doctors and raising their newborn twin boys. A rekindled Mary and Carlos have also relocated back to New York with their son, little Charles Miguel, as well as their newborn twin daughters. Simon is finally away at a university this year after a rocky period last year when being engaged to Rose. Ruthie is also out of the house for the time being in Scotland on a student exchange program for the school semester.Despite most of the family being gone, Eric and Annie are still there for their daughter, Lucy (Beverley Mitchell) and husband Kevin (George Stults) as they cope with the lose of their twins after Lucy had a miscarriage earlier in the year. At this point in their marriage, Lucy and Kevin have hit a rough patch and only time will tell if open wounds will be mended. Meanwhile, Lucy continues to be Sandy (Haylie Duff) and Martin's (Tyler Hoechlin) support via phone call as the couple determines on where their relationship stands together as well as raising their son together. Sandy is still heartbroken over her feelings of Simon not being recipricated back after she admitted it to Simon at his wedding, but Martin hopes to fill the void as the man she wants to be with for the rest of her life. At the same time Eric and Annie continue to raise 8-year-olds, Sam and David (Lorenzo and Nikolas Brino) to the best of their abilities...which eventually leads to Eric homeschooling the boys this year. Also, after many years of battling heart problems, Eric is stunned to find out his recent diagnosis on his heart condition. This leads him to hide his condition from the rest of the family, which eventually does blow up in his face. Nonethelss, together or apart, the Camden family is connected always and forever as the heart of the true American family in 7th Heaven.

Emily Dickinson

Here are some of the works of my favorite poet, Emily Dickinson.

Part One: Life
XVI
TO fight aloud is very brave,
But gallanter, I know,
Who charge within the bosom,
The cavalry of woe.

Who win, and nations do not see,
Who fall, and none observe,
Whose dying eyes no country
Regards with patriot love.

We trust, in plumed procession,
For such the angels go,
Rank after rank, with even feet
And uniforms of snow.
Part Two: Nature
I
NATURE, the gentlest mother,
Impatient of no child,
The feeblest or the waywardest,-----
Her admonition mild

In forest and the hill
By traveller is heard,
Restraining rampant squirrel
Or too impetuous bird.

How fair her conversation,
A summer afternoon,-----
Her household, her assembly;
And when the sun goes down

Her voice among the aisles
Incites the timid prayer
Of the minutest cricket,
The most unworthy flower.

When all the children sleep
She turns as long away
As will suffice to light her lamps;
Then, bending from the sky,

With infinite affection
And infiniter care,
Her golden finger on her lip,
Wills silence everywhere.
Part Three: Love
XLIV
THERE is a word
Which bears a sword
Can pierce an armed man.
It hurls its barbed syllables,-----
At once is mut again.
But where it fell
The saved will tell
On patriotic day,
Some epauletted brother
Gave his breath away.

Whenever runs the breathless sun,
Wherever roams the day,
There is its noiseless onset,
There is its victory!
Behold the keenest marksman!
The most accomplished shot!
Time's sublimest target
Is a soul "forgot"!
Part Four: Time and Eternity
X
I DIED for beauty, but was scarce
Adjusted in the tomb,
When one who died for truth was lain
In an adjoining room.
He questioned softly why I failed?
"For beauty," I replied
"And I for truth,-----the two are one;
We brethren are," he said.
And so, as kinsmen met a night,
We talked between the rooms,
Until the moss had reached our lips,
And covered up our names.
Part Five: The Single Hound
IV
FAME is a fickle food
Upon a shifting plate,
Whose table once a Guest,
The second time, is set.
Whose crumbs the crows inspect,
And with ironic caw
Flap past it to the Farmer;s corn;
Men eat of it and die.

Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize 2006

Last night I watched Oprah at Studio 23 and one of her guest was Dr. Muhammad Yunus, a visionary and developer of the unique microcredit concept. He is really an inspiration and a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize for his Grameen Bank and I just want to share with you this amazing bank that he has developed.

Yunus first involved himself in fighting poverty during the 1974 famine in Bangladesh. Yunus discovered that very small loan could make a significant difference to a poor person's ability to survive.
The first loan he gave was of $27 from his own pocket. He lent it to 42 female basket weavers in the village of Jobar near Chittagong University. He discovered that they could repay the amount very quickly by selling their goods in the market.
Before this, they used to take loans from village loan-sharks with high interest rates. In some cases, the interest rates stood at a staggering 10% a week.
However, banks were not interested in giving tiny loans to poor people and they considered the poor to be bad borrowers.
In 1976, Yunus launched the activities of Garmeen Bank and started giving loans to poor Bangladeshis against the advice of banks and the government. He carried on giving out micro-loans and in 1983, he officially formed the Garmeen Bank, meaning village bank, on the principles of trust and solidarity.
The Garmeen Bank's method of giving out loans is now used in projects in 58 countries, including US, Canada, France, the Netherlands and Norway.
In 1997, Professor Yunus led the world's first microcredit summit in Washington, DC.

Livin' in a Stress Free World

Well, stress tabs doesn't work so I found an alternative to cope with stress =>

Item #1: Go to mall every weekends! You don't need to buy anything. Just the look of those pretty dresses takes the bad elements in my body. Pig-out! Eat lots of calories... buy ice cream or chocolate. Buy a movie ticket, watch a feel good movie. Treat yourself with spa, facial treatments, or a simple manicure and pedicure will do the trick. Pamper yourself once in a while.

Item #2: Drink coffee! After a long day of work,it feels good to gulp into a grande starbucks coffee while reading sophie kinsella. Hmmmm... azuki, white choco mocha latte, coffee jelly, caramel frap. I can smell coffee in the air!

Item #3: Watch DVDs! I just bought a DVD player and every night after work I watch DVDs... HOUSE, JUSTICE LEAGUE, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, CSI. I really takes the stress in my body. Just lying down in your favorite coach, eating junkies. This is life!
